Materials and finishes
We work in carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, and we finish for the environment the piece will live in. Interior pieces can be finished to match existing hardware or millwork. Exterior pieces get galvanizing or a primed and painted system that will actually hold up outdoors.

You do not need drawings to start. Most custom work begins with a photo, a rough dimension, and a description of the problem you are trying to solve. We will tell you whether it is straightforward, whether it needs a site visit, and roughly what it will take.

Boston Iron Works North serves the North Shore of Massachusetts, southern New Hampshire, and up through York County, Maine. Every job is field-measured on site before anything is fabricated, so what we build fits the property it was made for.
